Philhellene opened its doors in November 2008 aiming to provide a rich experience around Greek food, culture, music and history. We are now one of four Greek restaurants in Melbourne to appear continuously in the 2009–2015 editions of the Age Good Food Guide.
Our cuisine is provincial Greek with a strong Cretan influence.

I enjoyed this restaurant. The food is authentic Greek food and the Greek music, paintings and language are everywhere. The ambience was amazing.The food was full of flavour and there was so much to eat. The service was very good and quick. I had all my meals served on time and water refilled as soon as we finished it. I am glad I chose this place for Mother's Day as my mom enjoyed it.

Went here last Sunday night without notifying staff, however we were welcomed and accommodated, with a smile (even though the place was jumping!). Absolutely loved the platter for 3, and a cab sav, that was to die for.
